I have a severe chronic illness that's now unaffordable to "lifestyle" my way into healthiness and it's one of the only ways to keep the symptoms manageable. Also it tastes good and I enjoy weird bitter medicinal flavors

The health benefits are immense

Idk bro should I go into detail to a bunch of weird predatory strangers about what "living" with IBD is like? The first time I mentioned it some sociopathic jew retard blackmailer by profession added it to his spreadsheet and I got to see colostomy bag themed posts for the next month or two.

ever shit black blood? ever miss out on christmas with your family because it feels like there's a hot coal in your intestinal tract and you're bedridden for the whole weekend? ever stop eating and lose 20 pounds in the span of a couple months because you can't digest anything? sometimes herbal teas help with that

I don't have those problems. Good for you. I am just a heavy drinker in need of a substitute for booze.

some people recommend a thing called kava for helping with post-alcoholism jitteriness and anxiety

it's not great for your liver (but better than alcohol) but it can help keep you in one place during the day. i had a friend who managed his detox with that way back and he reported positive things about the experience

if you're a palate guy regular tea has a lot to offer for filling that niche where you want to be drinking something that isn't water and can occupy your mind for half an hour. i have no experience with alcoholism and can't comment on it directly

i do. i dont drink caffeine, but i enjoy a hot beverage. so it's either decaf green/black tea or herbal tea. the herbal tea provides good variety and are often yummy.
