street girls are obliviously the lowest of the low. A few of the girls in the bars will be ok, but most of them suck.

food made to order is often like $4-5 for a small scoop of pad thai plopped straight from a wok onto on a flimsy piece of plastic. when you get food to go, they'll put burning hot soup straight into a little plastic bag that's likely loaded with BPAs or whatever. most of the street food barely has any protein or veggies in it
the one place I thought that was good and a decent deal was the food court at Terminal 21's mall, Pier 21. you can get a functional pad thai/mango sticky rice for $1 each. it's not surprising that a lot of locals were there. but its sad that a mall food court is now the best deal in BKK |
