most people on the far right remain psychologically 'bought in' to the legitimacy of the regime even now. but Harris winning would be a break. a line would be crossed. she is so alien and so hostile to heritage white america, the cognitive dissonance would reach critical mass and become delegitimating.
people would divest completely and viscerally begin to feel they had 'lost the country' and were living under occupied gov't without representation. |
