The level of real and organic grassroots excitement on the left -- ESPECIALLY among young people -- is absolutely insane. I was Terminally Online during the 2008 / 2012 elections with Obama tracking politith super closely, and I've never seen anything like this. This isn't just generation-defining, this is shaping up to be completely game changing. This is Elliot Ness vs. Al Capone for the 21st Century, except that in this version Ness happens to also be a beautiful and brilliant woman of color who is also going to save democracy from fascism in addition to locking up the supervillain, and Capone is Orange Hitler who wants to re-enslave black people and drag women back to the Dark Ages. If you made a Marvel movie about this, people would think it was too ridiculous and over the top for the silver screen -- but this IS "the real life," to paraphrase Freddie Mercury. Simply put, Kamala is a phenomenon.
