These used to be YUGE cash cows in this business because the syrup cost is like $0.10 per drink and so even if a prole gets 10 refills, that’s like $1 in cost for a $3 drink. Most importantly, these places are trying discourage dining inside. Free refills was the one enticement for doing that instead of drive-through. |
