Crazy how people can be completely and aggressively wrong about something for forever and then all of a sudden start acting like they actually were right about it the entire time |

i was never a desantis fan. but i understood why a lot of people were: they wanted a MAGA guy without trump's baggage that would be more effective than trump had been. desantis is a swing(ish) state governor who did well during covid and looked good on paper. he was an obvious choice for MAGA types that wanted someone other than trump. but during his campaign he came off as a phony and unlikable, so people dropped him. |

there were a lot of things that would indicated he was a grifter. for me, it was being a thielboy, constantly talking about his roots, and the convenient timing of his MAGA awakening.
tbf, it's not "proven" that he's not yet. he hasn't done anything yet. only time will tell if he remains loyal and consistent. my opinion on him has changed and i'm not claiming i was always right about him.

it's odd to me that someone would be so emotionally invested in this. especially when vance's character hasn't even been tested yet.
i've interviewed people and didn't think they'd be a great hire, only for them to excel when hired. i'm happy i was wrong then, and i'm happy that vance is coming off better than i expected, but i don't feel like a retard for how i felt before. he sold me on himself.
it's also really ironic because vance himself did they exact same thing with trump. he publicly criticized him very harshly before, and has since come around. why don't you sperg out about him being a fucking idiot about trump? |
