Author: the cathedral of light
O molten bliss, thou dark and tender flame,
Enclosed in crust so soft, a velvet night,
Thy fragrant breath ignites my soul with shame,
That sweetness could inspire such pure delight.
Thou art the sun, yet veiled in cocoa's grace,
With golden warmth that fills the hollow deep,
A river rich, from which my lips embrace,
And taste the dream that wakes me from my sleep.
No mortal art could craft so sweet a tear,
That melts as swiftly as it kisses skin—
A fleeting joy, as brief as it is dear,
A taste of heaven 'neath its fragile skin.
Thou mak'st the heart both burn and sigh for more,
O cherished fire within a crusted shore.
