HR’s response? Tabitha, mid-Fanta slurp, declared, “It’s a gray area, Evan. Better safe than sued.” Meanwhile, Sheila waltzed out the door, probably off to her “volunteer” shift at her sister’s BBQ.
Spent the evening explaining to angry customers why the rotisserie was “unexpectedly sold out.” Clocked out late, leaned against the freezer, and whispered, “Yes, friend. This is fine.”
