Date: March 23rd, 2026 4:49 PM Author: Twinkling dragon windowlicker the big issue is that one of the main basis for american citizenship and notions of community is fairly abstract and takes a bit of IQ to grasp and respect for what it is the whole "heritage americans" "america is a blood as well" thing the right has been pushing in recent years is a dire bandage over the erosion that's taken place at the expense of the "community of shared notions" abstraction of america and while it's preferable to "America is a house of business" it comes with its own set of issues as well (albeit more minor ones and generally speaking its more useful wrt some parallel issues the country is facing) as i type this i am presently reminded at how useless all of this is as the people in charge just see the country as a place to do business and procure rape and theft and that i'd be better off making a buck on EVE rn.
