It remained well below 2.0 for the 1970s and was close to TFR from around 1980 to 2007, when it nosedived again. The point is that the native born population in this country has not been growing in more than 50 years, and 144million foreigners have come in during that same time frame. That's the entire population of the United States at the time of WW2. Some might call that a total replacement. |
