it's one of the most inscrutable pieces of writing i've tried to pick up. and you need to read a significant portion of nietzsche's works first.

with nietzsche? I would read the gay science or on the genealogy of morals.

not really sure if i can say i subscribe to any philosophical system. i've probably read at least one or two seminal works in most of the major schools of thought though. stoicism is very appealing. and I would say i enjoyed reading spinoza the most.

most of the stuff people think is insightful in Evola is second-hand from Guénon, what he added was a Nietzschean slant that was really typical for his era, you can read a hundred other people like him in that respect (or just read Nietzsche).

Guénon was also fucking nuts (tho differently than Evola), but Reign of Quantity is a genuine view of the world that you can profit from confronting, but nothing in Evola really is. Evola's a better writer, though, and some of his stuff is interesting from a historical perspective, like his postwar account of Italian Fascism. His Nazi book is less interesting because he's fundamentally dishonest about his historic position in it, but for understandable reasons.

it's absurd

liberals now seek to demonize anything remotely critical of any part of their ideology

I had heard of it before but not as anything particularly fascist

Evola has always been seen as a fascist, and it's not as if the typical SJW lib knows who he is

Ride the Tiger is literally published by a New Age house, the point is his being "fascist" used to not be the Most Important thing

no one said the typical SJW lib knows who he is-- that person is also not cool

Starting eye of the tiger now

He’s a much better writer than guenon, who is essentially entirely unreadable
