Date: February 4th, 2017 5:36 PM Author: Red bateful library deer antler most of the stuff people think is insightful in Evola is second-hand from Guénon, what he added was a Nietzschean slant that was really typical for his era, you can read a hundred other people like him in that respect (or just read Nietzsche).
Guénon was also fucking nuts (tho differently than Evola), but Reign of Quantity is a genuine view of the world that you can profit from confronting, but nothing in Evola really is. Evola's a better writer, though, and some of his stuff is interesting from a historical perspective, like his postwar account of Italian Fascism. His Nazi book is less interesting because he's fundamentally dishonest about his historic position in it, but for understandable reasons. |
