I completely agree. But I am the guy who has been seeing this every day since 2019. The guy basically said in so many words that my role as a radiation oncologist is to mop up cells before the surgeon (who causes all the complications) "removes" the tumour. I pretty much explained why he was wrong and he flipped out.
I literally just said to him that if the surgical specimen shows complete pathological response after RT, wouldn't that mean the RT cured her and that the surgery wasn't necessary (which it literally means) and he just flipped out.
I sure hope he doesn't tell the RO he sees on Friday that his assumption is the guy's role is to kill a few cancer cells before the surgery happens.
