edit: OK it's a a hernia so i guess you can dip out within like 0.1 seconds of trying to bend down to flex or something and realizing it's not working |

you're correct that you should absolutely avoid using it with lighter weight, and you should also independently develop your core, but at a certain point you really can't avoid them. |
