Recommend a good Windows laptop for work/business

Requirements: bigger screen (15" minimum), excellent build quality, a real attached keyboard is required (i.e. not a tablet that can be converted into a laptop), a numerical keypad would be nice but not required, not too heavy for lugging around, touchscreen/stylus functionality not necessary but fine if within budget
Not sure how much RAM or hard drive space I need since most things will be saved in the cloud and backed up on an external hard drive
Any computer mastermen here? There's a shitton of options and I haven't bought a computer in probably 15 years besides the ones GC gave me
Currently using a Surfacebook from 2016 and it still works and looks good so I'm thinking of getting another one
Budget: up to $2000

had a surface, liked it a lot, but found it a bit quirkier and a bit lower quality and went lenovo this time around. the new snapdragon surfaces have me looking again, but i dont want to be a first adopter.

At one point Lenovo yogas were on sale and I grabbed 3 cause they had better specs. Never again. They are complete and utter garbage.
I currently have two brand new x1s sitting in boxes, one of which is a higher end one to replace my 3 yr old x1. Still haven’t bothered to open them because my 3 yr old comp still works great and it’s more trouble than it’s worth to set up the new one at this point. |
