Everything else gets crushed. Retail firms that charge fees to regular people - like family law - get crushed. Real estate closing firms - who stack cash during good times - can see their fees come close to $0.
EDIT: partners are OK in these firms. You scale back, fire staff, fire associates, and go more to a "keep it small keep it all" business plan. As long as a small firm has lots of reserve and isn't over extended in debt, a small firm partner is going to be fine. Everyone else downstream gets absolutely wiped out. |
