“ Usually well informed Russian channel Dosye Shpiona reports that on the night of August 3, 2024, an attack using 40 combat drones targeted the Morozovsk airfield, home to the 559th Guards Bomber Aviation Regiment of the Russian Aerospace Forces. Of the 40 drones, 18 reached their targets, while the rest were destroyed or suppressed by air defense systems.
The attack resulted in: - The destruction of a Su-34 fighter jet - The destruction of an aviation weapons depot - Damage to the flight control center - Minor damage to the airfield's engineering equipment
This incident follows a previous significant drone attack in April 2024, where over 50 drones were deployed but none reached their targets due to advanced electronic warfare systems. It appears that the Ukrainian forces have upgraded their drones to be more resistant to electronic warfare.”
