Your mind allows you to correctly identify this as grotesque and wrong. But ask yourself: how much more "natural" is it, really, for any man to construct an identity for himself that is exclusively that of A Beta Provider Dad? Could part of your disgust for spaceporn be due to your brain being able to be actually honest with itself about the identity that he's desperately trying to larp as?
