Subject: did this program

full-timed at nyu

employment breakdown is something like 5% tax court, 10% major market biglaw, 15% secondary/tertiary "biglaw", 40% accounting firms

tip/oci is a fucking joke. firms come, but they're all just looking for one person. most of the ttters in the program are easily impressed by it.

shit worked out for me because i used the program to hustle into biglaw and the program was really top notch academically, but 1) the people are miserable 2) unless you're looking to go to a tertiary southern market, biglaw is unlikely

i know there were a couple of full-timers on firm payrolls. they were usually ttters from smaller markets, so they were pretty uptight about it.

part-timers were a mixed bag. the biglaw ppl didnt really care, but the big4/second-tier accounting ppl were faggotstrivers

The people are miserable because they're all on a last resort attempt to get a job?

Or because tax people generally are miserable?

Brother what is the ETHOS of the program?

actually don't mind tax people that much - standard level of aspieness for biglaw and hours are better. ppl in the program were just your standard self-hating ttters oblivious to their position in the pecking order

say what you will about the tenets of NYU tax llm, at least its an ethos

i think so - but not to v10s like youd expect clerks from the highest ranking tax courts to do

if they stick around dc, they usually land at one of the boutiques (capdale, miller chev)
