Date: August 28th, 2022 9:53 AM Author: federal affirmative action We went to 180 Saddlepeak Lodge in Calabasas (www.saddlepeaklodge.com). It is an old hunting lodge in the Topanga Mountains that was converted to a restaurant years ago. It won a Michelin star several years back and has a nice focus on game meat. First off, Disco is tall as fuck. Paralegal Karim is almost 6'3, so when you see them in the photo it really shows how 180 tall Disco is. He is also modest and claimed he was only 6'2.
We ordered some amazing food and started off with some pretzel bread, french onion soup, oysters, pasta, salmon tartare, and Johnny Cakes (basically cornbread covered in honey/butter). We followed that up with some great meat (which I washed down with a nice beer). My wife and I split a Tomahawk Wagyu hybrid steak (Kenny and Paralegal Karim split the same thing), and Disco got the Game Sampler (Bison, Venison, Quail). Paralegal Mohamed is a better Muslin than his brother and got the lamb. We got some mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts for ours sides.
I've had the same waiter before and he was roommates with one of my laser tag friends (who used to be the head chef of Saddlepeak). So hooked us up with lots of free drinks and three free desserts. He has a small issue he needed expunged and I offered to do it for free and handed him my business card. He will probably send me tons of car accident cases. This is how you network, brothers.
There was a couple on a date a few tables down from us. We were pretty loud and you could tell the girl on the date would have rather been hanging out with us than the guy she was with.
Overall it was a great night. We spoke about several things including why women want an assertive an alpha husband. My wife confirmed that she enjoys that I am the boss in our relationship and she likes that I am in charge. I enjoyed spending time with Disco, Kenny, Paralegal Mohamed, Paralegal Karim, and my wife. Today I'm taking my kids to Universal Studios. Can't wait, brothers!

When I arrive I was very nervous, but then I looked outside and saw CSLG, his lovely wife, Karim, and of course the legendary Paralegal Mohamed. I was immediately disarmed. That’s something about CSLG and his friends, he immediately conveys a warmth. With CSLG, you know that you are safe. I can totally vouch for the young couple on their date. They showed up for what was to be a romantic evening for sure, but she couldn’t stop looking at the “fun table.” She looked bored with her date and eager to leave. When they got up to leave CSLG hollered at them and asked them to have a good night. They didn’t take the invite to come over and say hello, but I’m sure that if they did, CSLG would have produced a business card and a spiel about running the largest and most successful personal injury firm in the San Fernando Valley. I learned many things from this dinner. Surround yourself with people. Be confident. Do good work. Enjoy life. There’s nothing wrong with a high sex drive. This morning I got up and did 4 rounds up the Calabasas Stairs and hiked around to see a good view of the 101 and the Malibu Canyon from up high on a hill. I stared at the mansions of the Calabasas Oaks and breathed a deep breath and felt completely satiated and happy. Now I am enjoying some 180 latkes and lox at Lovi’s Delicatessen. The waitress is CGWBT and delivered the food with a ebullient “faster than McDonald’s!” California has changed me. |
