He did well. On Breaking Points, he was described as a secondary character to Biden's meltdown. He could've gone hard on Biden's obvious dementia but he limited it to a few jabs, effectively emphasizing Biden's problems without appearing to bully an old man. He learned that his over-the-top badgering of Biden in 2020 didn't work and took it easy this time. The format was good for him, forcing Biden to talk more and hang himself.
A better opponent could've hurt him on things like abortion and Jan 6.
