I actually tried cancelling it twice before but my wife kept reactivating it.

The first time was when they limited the number of simultaneous streams. It annoyed me that I couldn’t watch Netflix at the same time as my wife anymore and cancelled it. She reactivated it within an hour.

The second time was just a couple months ago when they started limiting it to your “household”. I put household in quotes because I have two houses - one in the city and one in the country - and suddenly I couldn’t watch Netflix in the city anymore.

This time, my plan was discontinued and they auto-bumped me to an advertisement plan. This was the straw that broke my wife’s back and she finally acquiesced to cancelling it. The content on Netflix isn’t very good anymore, and both of us agreed that there are better uses of our time.

Still, it was surprisingly difficult to actually commit to hitting the cancel button. There’s a feeling like “what if something good comes up”. My plan was to read more books but that’s obviously not gonna happen. What garbage streaming system should I replace it with?
