The females typically have to survive on their own, fight or flight, do all the hunting and gathering, be pregnant all the time and make more of themselves. It is unclear what role male animals have. They mostly hang out, and sometimes fight each other. Their only true purpose is to breed and the only qualities females seek are that the males be strong and robust. Aside from being big tough guys and spreading seed most males just hang out with their friends and chill and let do.

Men on the other hand mostly farmed. You only did what you had to do to survive and maybe barter a little. Your retirement plan is your kids will feed you when you're old.
