The lesson of Vayigash is that Joseph gathers the wealth of Egypt by selling food and seed during the famine to the desperate goys. Pharaoh then gives Jacob’s family the fertile county of Goshen to settle because pharaoh owed us gelt and the children of Israel prosper in their Egyptian exile. Praise be to G_d. |
