and I kid you not, my apparently autistic colleague in tax keeps on inadvertently knocking some of these exercises/prompts out of the park.
We were in a group session and the questions centered around personal instances of adversity. One of the IO psych PhD moderators asked him to think about the worst day in his life. Our tax friend elaborately describes walking into his wall-to-wall carpeted apartment after unknowingly stepping in dog shit and treading it all over the place. Upon reflection, he waxes poetically (bizarre for him) about how - if that was the worst day of his life, how truly blessed he is, and it's therefore, paradoxically, both the worst day of his life and a "peak gratitude moment"...
I have a buddy who is a Partner at Korn Ferry doing this kind of shit and he suggested my firm paid somewhere between $500-750k for a few weeks of this shit.

Did they give you the outcomes vs process exercise yet? There’s always one where you have to choose between or rank a bunch of priorities or business opportunities that the exercise goes to great lengths to make basically impossible to have a “right” answer.
The purpose of the exercise has nothing to do with choosing between the fungible choice and everything to do with being able to prove that you can come up with a defensible process and all align behind it. “Disagree in the room” on setting the process and choosing the outputs then all standing behind it when you present.
