Some of the band guys are more popular than athletes. And they major in whatever they want. Plenty of random dudes you've never heard of make decent money playing behind boomer frontmen whose original band members are dead, unable to function as live performers, or not on speaking terms. I don't know that he specifically did marching band but there are a ton of music performance majors at TTT schools and they don't all wind up homeless.
Otherwise, there are a surprising number of ways to make a living that aren't lawyering and are open to a brother with a good attitude who is willing to work. Think of the ok-but-not-great parts of ATL, LA or NY that black people live in if they can afford to move out of the hood. Who do you think owns and manages all the car dealerships, fast food franchises, small apartment buildings, etc.? I mean yes sometimes its Jews or private equity but sometimes it's charismatic local guy who realized he wanted to make more money than a high school music teacher does and being 110 IQ and patient enough to save and invest makes him the smartest guy in plenty of rooms. |

2. you are on TV and the occasional movie but it's legit, no molestation etc.
3. you drill with military instructors
4. you drill with military instructors
5. you get invited to military bases and perform with their bands
Not only is it about the best thing a black teen can do, it's also a good place to meet 180 black teens |
