The thing I've become fascinated with is they hate anyone who "prefers" the Gen 1 games. Most normies just played the gen 1 games. The later gens might be like 2% better in gameplay but jesus christ look at how shitty the new pokemon look, but they just aren't worth the time according to like, most people. just Catching Them All in gen 1 is a slog. most people didn't want to keep playing the Same Game after that.
anyway the pokemon Losers look at this and they posit that the gen-1-er or "genwunner" is just this closed-minded fool who INSISTS that Gen 1 was the best in every way possible when really, in actual fact, normies just "overdosed" on pokemon so when Gen 2 came they were just like "jesus christ get this away from me," and it wasn't worth the embarrassment of being Seen playing it or finding other Losers to trade with in order to Catch Them All (or buying 2 copies of the Same Game and also 2 Handheld Consoles, just to Catch Them All). A lot of things with gaming are like this. For some reason, Loser Fandoms of various Games don't deduct points for non-creativity if something is the 20th iteration of the Same Game. They didn't do it with TotK and they didn't do it with a lot of things. These Losers will look at the 14th gen of pokemon and be like "this is clearly superior to gen 1. it has far fewer glitches," with no sense of irony. It's been 28 years you retards.
also, designs are "subjective" and anyone's personal opinion of them is Anecdotal and thus must be discounted.
also over the generations it went from basically accomplishing more with Game Boy than anyone would've thought reasonable, to now being the most horrendously Engineered games on their respective consoles.

There can't be that many Low Losers out there - there's something else going on imo.
