I know they are flimsy, but assuming you don't crash them don't they keep going forever?

Tesla's are literally so safe dad's can't even murder their families in them by driving them 200 feet off a cliff.

Look like they made the whole car out the airbag, but I'm talking about wear and tear on a car here.

I mean the interior materials are Ikea quality. It saves on weight and cost, I get it, it's fine. I just wonder if they rattle after 300k miles or if the strut mounts fail or whatever.

1 person had a Tesla where the battery had to be replaced and it's been circling the internet as this HUGE STORY by anti-Tesla idiots.

Meanwhile Model Ss are 12 years old and Model 3s are 7 years old now.

If they fell apart as often as Audis did people would never shut up about it.

That's what I thought. I can find countless youtube videos of people disassembling these Audi POS engines with the timing chains routed across 43 different pulleys. In one video the dood is basically cursing these engines as he tears it down. Looks like they let Salvador Dali design the engines. Where are the Tesla videos like that?

I used Audi because i know someone who recently paid $11,000 to fix the timing chain issue.

In theory, Tesla's might run for a very long time because they're just simple motors. The battery degredation seems to be very minimal as well. But obviously no one knows for sure.

I like the redundancy of being able to run gas or ideally diesel or even LNG in a pinch. I figure commercial vehicle fuel will run out before marine fuel in a SHTF scenario.

To be fair,

XO is filled with a sizeable contingent of poasters who demonstrably know very little about Tesla as a company or Teslas as cars, but nevertheless harbor VERY strong negative opinions about both the company and the cars and like to weigh in on this topic authoritatively at every possible opportunity (and they will also angrily denounce anyone who dares to disagree with them as a “fucking retard” or whatever).

Oddly enough, for some reason they also tend to be liberal Jewish Pumos.

Strange!
