you should live in a mid-tier city with universities like pittsburgh or a college town like chapel hill. you could even do a random neighborhood in north/west chicago if you really wanted, that might be pushing it but you wouldn't need a car. |

IMO Austin has more striving than a place like Tampa or in the south. And if you're not interested in the restaurants or shopping, not sure why you'd want to be in a city. |
