Mark’s “injury” means I mop while he watches.

Mark tripped over his own mop last month. Ever since, he’s been working light duty, sporting a neck brace and claiming workers’ comp. Every time I mop, he sits nearby, sipping his coffee and saying, “Don’t push yourself too hard, friend.”
Yesterday, I caught him in the parking lot, lifting a 40-pound bag of dog food like it was nothing. When I pointed it out, he said, “Workers’ comp doesn’t cover outside hustle.”
Mopped the whole store alone, then whispered, “Yes, friend. This is fine.”
