Sky used to be owned by Murdoch and it was mostly right wing but then Murdoch had to sell it for antitrust or regulatory reasons to do with his deal with Disney or something. Comcast turned Sky from a good news channel to unwatchable left wing garbage overnight. The XO Daily Mail is much better. |

Die Welt in Germany is tolerable. Die Weltwoche in Switzerland is 180 but it's weekly commentary rather than news and very strictly paywalled. I'm sure there must be a decent Spanish paper that still looks wistfully back at the Francoist times. I despise DW and the German state broadcasters generally - they are not fire-breathing partisans, and they probably think they are nice and balanced, but absolutely everything they do starts from such a large and stifling set of unquestioned shitlib assumptions that it makes everything they do worthless - sort of like NPR about 15 years ago, superficially pleasant and soft but in reality in the iron grips of the shitlib narrative machine. |
