Pod Save America is not Ezra Klein's podcast. His podcast for the NYT is pretty good. For example, a few weeks ago was a long-form interview with Gorgeous Vivek, and the book recommendations in the show notes were Hayek stuff like Road to Serfdom. It's not a bunch of shitlibby stuff.

Date: November 15th, 2024 11:22 AM Author: Paddy O'Wagon it's hard to predict where all of this is going, because the demographic changes and the rise of paradigm-challenging nationalism/populism in EU/US are a wild card. in the 80s/90s, the left were in retreat politically and they pivoted to a culture-based attack to continue making inroads for their agenda. the radical 'woke' stuff has its origins in the cultural *nudging* by Hollywood movies/TV/etc during this period towards normalization of homosexuality, interracialism, and so on.
but now, the demographic changes make this cyclical pattern less predictable. |
