yes i know i know. but my upper-middle schooler has an iphone and a strict 2 hour limit. he reacts like this is a gulag, and its apparent to me even his friends with parents who gaf have like 4-5 hour limits. The kids from fucked up families I see probably log 8 hours, but those arent relevant to my comparison.
I feel like 2 hours (60 minutes of assorted bullshit throughout the day and 60 minutes of after-dinner STARING at screen six inches away) is pretty generous, but maybe Im being unreasonable, idk
kid otherwise plays sports, has friends, plays outside, gets school work done, does chores.
if it matters, his usage is almost all youtube and instagram. some single digit percentage of games
