Basically the title. My SRS was 6 months ago, and while I'm generally very happy with the result, I'm really bothered by the smell that develops without careful "maintenance".

I'm still dilating at least daily, and usually use a vaginal shower about as often. That plus applying lactic acid about 1-2x per week makes for a basically odorless experience (or if there's some odor, it's slight and not unpleasant).

Right now though, it's bad. I smell intensely like swiss cheese. I've used up my lactic acid and using the shower doesn't help.

From what I've heard from others, this is all but uncommon. Yet I feel like it's talked about very rarely on here.

So - what are your tips for dealing with the odor? And is there something that helped you long-term? Because using a vaginal shower twice a day plus using the acid for the rest of my life seems rather cumbersome, haha....

(PS: I get that the basic problem is keeping an acidic environment inside the neovagina, when the tissue used in SRS isn't really ideal for that. But I'm hoping that there are ways to still get that stable acidic environment - somehow...)
