Using basketball as an example, few 300th ranked recruits probably ever make the NBA. In football, where careers are shorter and rosters are 10x bigger, probably half of 300th-ish HS recruits get a rookie NFL contract a few years later. |

If yes, then I’d probably choose baseball or basketball. #300 is still good enough to play in college and potentially improve from there, but the sports are low impact and unlikely to leave him injured. |
