Kelly, however, now treats it as permanent. Every week, she files “workplace hazard” complaints to keep the premium rolling.
Today, she reported the “emotional toll” of dealing with a customer who didn’t wear deodorant. Last week, it was “psychological trauma” from a child spilling apple juice. HR just nodded, saying, “These claims are protected, Evan.”
Meanwhile, Kelly racked up $4 in hazard pay while I spent my shift cleaning up an actual biohazard in aisle 7.
Sprayed the area down, muttered, “Yes, friend. This is fine.”
