What happened to Nintendo? Back in the day, they were the kings of wild, out-there ideas—every new console was total curveball. The N64 had that funky controller and 3D graphics that blew our minds, the GameCube was a quirky little box with a handle, the Wii brought motion controls that had grandma swinging a virtual tennis racket, and even the 3DS gave us glasses-free 3D. Each generation felt like a bold, crazy experiment. But now? The Switch 2 reveal has me yawning—it’s just a beefier Switch with better graphics and faster load times. Where’s the innovation? Where’s the “whoa, they actually did that” moment? They’re just pulling a PlayStation and Xbox, slapping some extra horsepower on the same old formula and calling it a day. Nintendo used to be the mad scientist of gaming; now they’re just another suit chasing specs. Lame.
