It’s insane how little Japan cares for Metroid. The fandom still has a lot of westerners who just want something badass and T-rated so they don’t feel like faggots playing a Nintendo system. I would love to see a brain scan of them when they get lost exploring the Caverns to assess whether they’re actually having fun.

Nintendo knows it’ll sell like 1.85 million or whatever somehow even though Dread sold like 5m but they also know they need to appease the vocal minority of westerners who want their precious FPS
