in the wage discrimination case the current stars were asked under oath if they could beat boys teams. their answers were, essentially, we can't beat 16 year olds. they can play a competitive match against elite 14 year olds.
and by the way those comments royally pissed off the players and forced the resignation of the head of US soccer and forced the firing of Seyfarth. then the judge granted the US Soccer Federation's motion for summary judgment, lol. Seyfarth had done the depos and wrote the briefs.
when the matter was pending before the 9th Circuit the women found an easier solution: they voted in a slate of for USWNT players into management of the federation. the key players are all women. and they quickly settled the suit by capitulating.

I'll be the first to acknowledge that the gap between men and women is enormous in almost any sport. But this is idiotic. I had a friend in college who was a first-team All-American in women's soccer (at a different school than I attended). One day she was in town and we used her as a ringer on our intramural men's team. I would say about half of us played in high school, so we weren't exactly a powerhouse, but it was probably better than a "pickup team."
The other team initially laughed at us when they saw we had a girl on our team. They stopped laughing once we started playing. They demanded a forfeit after she scored a goal and assisted on two others. Her passing and ball control were simply on another level compared to us, which was more than enough to offset the fact that she couldn't kick the ball quite as hard. (Also, she was the literally the fastest women's player in the country that year, which helped a lot. Most girls would have been too slow.)
And I know she used to play on a men's team during the summer when she was back at home to train. It was basically a high school level team, and she was not a star by any means. But she held her own. So there is definitely a huge gap, but let's also not be ridiculous.

I went to a “Big School” HS meaning the highest “Class” which is determined by school size. We had nearly 4k kids.
Our women’s soccer team won the state championship that year and I played football. Our football team won section but lost in the state tournament.
One day in the cafeteria we had an argument with the soccer team which led to us playing them in SOCCER.
We played a game and about 200 people came to watch which was pretty 180 considering it was a pickup game. They ended up forfeiting after we were up 22-0 and some claimed they weren’t going hard because they didn’t want to get hurt for college. Meanwhile our star linebacker who ended up at a ranked college and playing in the NFL for a brief period was going hard as fuck and didn’t care.

I know some libs who truly believe women are just as good as men at sports and the only reason they don't play in the NBA or NFL is discrimination
these same fags (who never watch sports) pressure the teams and leagues on twitter to do all kinds of woke nonsense and threaten boycotts if they don't -- and the teams and leagues bow to them

Who thought this would be a good idea?
There's no sport where even the best women in the world can compete against competent men.

Wrexham didn’t even win the tournament; they lost to a team of retired MLS and USMNT players.
It wasn’t for charity after all. Instead it was a million dollar prize. The rules were weird with teams taking players off toward the end of the game. Big European teams are apparently interested in playing next year.

Lmao some more context.
So this was all old former women's players. Some who only had a few int'l caps. Like women in their 30s who are retired from playing professional soccer
vs.
(mostly) current pro men's players. For example, Wrexham's starting defender, Liam Grimshaw, is 28, came up through the Man U youth system and was on the English U18 national team. Their center mid is 25 and another player is 19 and previously played in England's 2nd division.
The Wrexham side must have played with a ton of restraint to limit the score to 12-0. It could have been 100 - 0.

you could say the same thing about american football.
people who enjoy soccer like the large field, possession, using space to develop the attack etc. people who don't, see a boring, low scoring game with bursts of excitement.
similarly, people who enjoy american football appreciate the strategy, play calling, defensive formations etc. people who don't, see a bunch of huge dudes running into each other then standing around for most of the time and every once in a while there's an exciting run or catch.
