They imported them from the US for hunting before WW2 and they keep spreading. Now Germans are getting worked up about some new study showing that they are eating native German frogs and snakes.

Who gives a shit? Raccoons are a lot cuter than snakes or frogs, native or not.
I do like the German word for raccoon - "Waschbär" - or "washbear." They call them that because they think they look like they are washing their food when they eat. |
