There's quite a bit of variation. Obviously New York and DC will have a lot. But why does Kentucky randomly have a higher concentration than Arkansas? Etc. Is it due to differences in state laws?

Imho it somehow increases exponentially with population and especially population density. Arkansas is way tf spread out. When a Scumbag gets hit by a semi truck he just shrugs and does nothing or calls the PI that advertises on TV. Small town lawyers make like $10,000k a year. It doesn’t seem worth it imo. Any major population center just invites a surplus of shitlawyers all cutting each others throats.

Interesting take but Missouri and Louisiana are in the top 10. And Arizona is in the bottom 10. Almost all of its population is in the Phoenix and Tuscon areas.

Little Rock is a lowish % of the total state population fwiw. Some states have Nothing in between cities, other states have a diffusion of little Scummy towns.

Louisiana probably churns out lawyers. Probably something to do with New Orleans culturally. James Carville is a lawyer and probably a shitty one. They just go to law school without regard for what awaits at OCI, if there even is an OCI. There’s a “southern lawyer” archetype that exists that people try to embody like they’re Atticus Finch. Arkansas has less of that southern “culture” that NOLA embodies and is just generic Scum. It wasn’t in the confederacy. It’s like West Virginia or something. There are probably thousands of alcoholic lawyers in New Orleans with fledgling practices. I made all of this up. Discuss.
