burr's wife didn't make him get annoyed with ant live on air when ant made a joke that burr thought was in poor taste. burr continues to be a fixture with other comedians whereas ant has been excommunicated. and this includes people like louie ck who have no problem saying nigger. so it's not like it's a bunch of woke fags that got mad ant said something naughty. |

he's not a complete racist. more of a "there are some good ones" type. but the fact he's been ostracized even from the edgiest comedians should tell you it's not about burr being some woke cuck. maybe he is, but he's not the only one that broke ties with ant after decades of friendship. |

Date: April 14th, 2025 3:43 PM Author: novus homo (gunneratttt) opie was a morning zoo guy and none of them are funny. he lucked into discovering ant and jim norton, who are extremely funny. and especially good at riffing in a radio format. if you search for some of the best ofs from the glory days it's great. there's a reason that top tier talent like patrice and burr found their home there.
opie always sucked but "owned" the show. ant just got old and leaned more and more into race and politics like many do. reminds me of adam carolla. the old lovelines are some of the funniest in history (he is the first one to bring attention to blacks and dead smoke detectors!) but now just rants about race and politics.
having a bit of race realism sprinkled in is honest and funny. but not many want to listen to hours long rants about it. i think this sort of curmudgeonlyness is common. your funny uncle that used to crack a couple nigger jokes watches too much fox news and that becomes his whole personality. |
