Date: May 8th, 2026 4:00 PM Author: TurboGrafx-67 I don't even like LeBron but in hindsight: -Cavs in games 5-7 are objectively the best 3 game stretch of any NBA series ever -LeBron in any of games 5-7 is objectively the best single player performance in a single series or finals -Lebron & Kyrie game 5 best duo performance in finals history -arguably the best NBA Finals series ever and best finals of any sport
Also 2016 was the last time the 2 undisputed best teams met in finals with no injuries, and last 7 game series in finals. Kobe, KG and Duncan also retired this season.
In 2017 Warriors added KD out of desperation (especially pathetic after his own team lost to GS after being up 3-1), played Cavs twice more culminating in the WORST nba finals ever
