its lolzy, he takes up 90% of the political discussion space, nothing else is really discussed. His entry into politics is by far the worst thing that ever happened to US in last 100+ years

This exact mentality of thinking that "progress" and "development" comes from the government is the problem that drives third rate societies into the ground
Government is supposed to be the solution to excess, but it isn't the driver

Disagree (but only about genuine excess...not every perceived imbalance or hypothetical excess). Busting up monopolies and ensuring the public good of things like clean water (or even access to water) is an imperative for social good. A lot of our problems over the past several decades trace back to regulatory and legislative capture and our government selling us out to the highest donor base
In an unjust, captured government, public works become a source of graft and mismanagement. It's how you spend billions of dollars with fuck-all as a result, and this is precisely where we are
At the end of the day, you can't consistently have good government outcomes when you have a bad government. This is why I have such a strong preference for gridlock: our government is thoroughly corrupt, debased, and bought by special interests
LOL, "regulatory capture" actually refers to corporations getting regulations passed to ensure the bar is too high for new competitors to enter. Regulation breeds monopolies. Hilarious to hear someone use the term "regulatory capture" in favor of regulations.
"Regulatory capture theory is a core focus of the branch of public choice referred to as the economics of regulation; economists in this specialty are critical of conceptualizations of governmental regulatory intervention as being motivated to protect the public good. "

Regulatory capture refers to the process of private interests providing exit opportunities to regulators in order to influence their regulatory efforts while in government. It may or may not be used to bar competitors. It can also be used to get favorable treatment, lack of regulation, and other beneficial outcomes
I tacked on the concept of "legislative capture," because I think the donor base effectively achieves the same with our actual legislative branch. That's how we end up with insane pharma ads permeating our air waves and data center freeloaders passing their direct costs on to the population, socializing their costs and privatizing their profits. It's corrupt and insane
How India does or doesn't do anything isn't something I care about

Yes, that's the normal take away that people have when they encounter my posts. Honestly not sure why you're even talking to me tbh, especially when you're clearly very knowledgeable and have incisive insight and impeccable reading comprehension

Just saw your edits. I think you're confused about what I'm saying, so I'm going to lay it out simply for you.
My argument is that I want to see gridlock precisely because the government has become corrupt and unable to function in a way that benefits society. This corruption has occurred through regulatory and legislative capture, among other things
My statement about what a proper/just government should do (rein in excess and protect the public good) is NOT a statement of what the current government is doing. As I said, it's corrupt and debased, which is why I want it to do as little as possible

this is a nice sayin but its not fking true, all countries depend on govt doing good shit who do u think build interstate highways or public univs in US, and all issues like birdshits shitting in outhouuses until 1960s and not having running water or electricity werent fixed cause private sector did it
He has also held AI regulation at bay and done other things that grew the economy almost enough to compensate for tariffs but yeah the Iran war was so bad that I almost dont feel sad at the rebuke against the GOP last night.
I only wish more GOP politicians had come out attacking Trump in the past few months rather than continuing to suck him off. Many lost their seats for being pathetic MAGA cucks and they deserved it.
Well yeah, but it should never have been done, period. He destroyed our chance at one or two SCOTUS seats for a generation for a bunch of filthy retarded kikes.

Some of the first shit I saw this morning were calls for creating a 28 seat court. Motherfuckers never learn, and they want to drag the rest of us with them--and that goes for both parties
