The AI can only excel in certain intellectual domains because it's been interacting with experts in that domain. That's why it's only solving math problems AFTER 6+ months of chatting with mathematicians about them.
That's also what's holding back Chinese labs. It's why they have to cloud host their models in the first place, while charging only pennies to use them. If they only release open weight models they'll get no user inputs.
