In hindsight it must be crazy being a public school HS teacher making 55k and having to read several hundred pages of retarded ramblings about the causes of the Civil War or Great Gatsby. Professors even more so have better things to do than read 20+ page papers for students in intro/intermediate courses. Why do they subject themselves to this?

I have no clue how teachers are supposed to give homework now that AI can do your homework.
Only thing I can think of is to make grades be less a product of homework and more a product of exams.
Might be a good thing actually, an enormous amount of homework was fucking stupid
