Mine: Iran will not do anything to assure a ground invasion unless they're already in a situation where their total loss is all but inevitable.
This means they won't start up active terrorist cells to attack us on our soil (cyber attacks are possible, even ones that take down or damage infrastructure), much less launch attacks on Europe or do anything to trigger NATO mutual defense pact obligations that will result in invasion
All countries cooperating with the US presence in the Gulf are completely open targets. I don't think they'll try to level Jerusalem straight off. But it could go that direction if things get bad (probably the last step before they do something that would otherwise result in a ground invasion) |
