i took your advice and splurged on westside spacing which makes total sense for me bc safety is important and it's impossible to bench safely and get full ROM with wide hole spacing. |

This type of person is certainly worth keeping around if she's just like "Imma keep doing this, or just go work for ADF/PLF, lemme know," but contrary to the beliefs of connectionless xoers from trash families, having this type of person around the office does not magically indirectly produce tons of revenue making it worth paying her a true partner salary.
If the question is why don't they just give her the title, (a) there are some long-term benefits to maintaining the integrity of your system; it impresses other mid-levels and senior associates and also keeps them from agitating for their own undeserved titles; and (b) point (a) notwithstanding, vance probably doesn't gaf about the title (she already has way more impressive ones), so the issue's never been pressed from her end. |

I admit I've seen some marginal cases here); and (b) there's still some cultural/psychological reticence to credit ppl for their familial/spousal relationships to positions, vs. past positions of their own (which get treated as "merit").
I mean look bro, to be clear, it would make more sense if this chick were a partner. We know she is in fact not and are working out the most parsimonious explanation for why. |
