I do tend to agree that the number of people who will decide not to vote for Trump over this is also very small. But there are still a nontrivial number of swing voters who say that they will not vote for a convicted felon. And less than a point separates Trump and Biden in WI/MI/PA. If Trump loses even a percent or two of support over this, that could be the ballgame. Plus it means that Trump will have to spend even more of his money on legal fees rather than TV ads or campaign field offices. So while I doubt this is a major game changer, it's silly to think that this is a positive for Trump.
