all these guys are big 1/6ers, attended the rally and everything. they've been trump to the hilt ever since he came down the escalator. but over the past month their enthusism has been snuffed out by trump's many gaffes. my buddy paul, an afghanistan vet that is making $45k a year at walmart, started losing faith around the time tony made that puerto rico joke. and al, who had to move away when his factory job shut down, was incensed that the mcdonald's photo op turned out to be staged.

pretty clear the political winds and strongly favoring kamala. i don't think people like my many former trumpmo friends are reflected in the polling. they're what i call "shy kamala" voters. they still walk around in their maga hats but privately confessed to me that they're done with trump. i expect kamala to overperform but +5 pts in all swing states in win in a landslide.

My other buddy didn't seem too phased by the "Hitler's generals" bombshell, but then when that model came out about Trump groping her in NYC 31 years ago, that was it for him! He recently had his vasectomy reversed so he could try to conceive a daughter with his partner. "I just couldn't listen to the 8th or 9th woman accuse Trump, who used to be my Hero, of sexually assaulting her." Now he's voting Kamala too, and just put a new down payment on a truck because he thinks her economic policies are great!

My third buddy who we used to call "king MAGA" was litereally on his way to vote early on Sunday when the Puerto Rico "garbage island" story dropped! He texted me and said "That's it...I know this sounds crazy, but I just can't stand for someone insulting the great island and people of Puerto Rico like this. I though about taking a vacation there once, and it looks like a great place, with proud people and a proud culture." Now he's voting for Kamala too, and in a swing state!! Crazy times we live in, huh guys??

Lol. I sent you a PM. I wonder if we know the same people. My HBS buddy who wrote me the original e-mail is also going to hamptons this weekend with some of his classmates. They're hanging out with vandy girls who recently graduated from college and are working in NYC in pr/advertising/marketing. My friend is pretty overwhelmed with how much attention he's getting from girls since when we would go out in chicago, he got zero attention.
