Hypo: $10M to be dropped on Kamchatka Peninsula with open jar of peanut butter

You can bring with you anything you want that fits inside a standard, 60L camping backpack, except no communications or navigation equipment, no maps, no signaling devices, and no means of transport (e.g., an inflatable raft).
Until you leave Kamchatka, you must carry with you a full, open 32 oz jar of peanut butter. When you're not on the move, you can put it down, but it must always be within a foot of you, including in your tent if you have one and in your sleeping bag if you have one.
You will be given a valid passport with a valid visa for Russia.
If you make it back to the US, you get $10M. Do you accept? |

Kamchatka is essentially the size of Florida and Georgia combined. It's a random drop presumably in random weather. Is it possible I can get to a coast or a road within a few days? Sure. Is it also possible I have an 80-mile hike in mountain terrain in the winter? Yep, and probably more likely. |
